The University of Canterbury Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that the University of Canterbury’s tradition of excellence in higher education continues. From its earliest beginnings in 1873, philanthropic support and the generosity of donors and supporters has played a major part in making the university the respected institution it is today. The UC Foundation is dedicated to continuing that tradition.

Scouts helps children and young adults reach their full potential. Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. We help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world.

At GirlGuiding NZ we believe that confidence, self-esteem and an appreciation of our communities and the outdoors can be gained through a combination of choice, co-operation and personal challenges.

Volunteering Canterbury helps charities find volunteers to help the 36,000 people (and growing) that need help in the community. Last year our volunteers contributed 309,000 hours or 149 full time roles; the equivalent of $4.7m at minimum wage. Volunteers can register for free, and apply for any of the over 200 volunteer roles available. Want to get rich? Volunteer for free at www.volcanmatch.com

Volunteering New Zealand (VNZ) is an association of volunteer centres and other organisations with a commitment to volunteering. VNZ provides a national voice for volunteering and volunteers and our mission is to create an environment which supports, promotes, values and encourages effective volunteering by the people of Aotearoa New Zealand.

The Sir Peter Blake Trust believes in empowering kiwis to take action in caring for the environment and building sound leadership, no matter what age you are. We encourage developing young environmentalists and equipping them with the skills and knowledge to make a difference in their own communities.

Volunteer Wellington creates opportunities for meaningful engagement in the community through volunteering. We do this by talking with volunteers and supporting them to find a role with one, or more, of our 380 member organisations. Volunteers will discover a range of roles, such as planting out native trees in a local park, or helping to socialise cats, or becoming a gallery or exhibition guide, or supporting young people.

Volunteering Auckland supports many Not For Profit, Non Governmental organisations and Community Groups who engage volunteers to enhance their governance and services across the greater Auckland region. Volunteering Auckland assists these community organisations in the recruitment, retention and recognition of their volunteers through information, training and resources on volunteer management.
